News, Thougths And The Latest Events

Welcome to our "News, Thoughts and Latest Events" page - a place where we can share our latest news and tell our readers about our adventures.
As the title suggests, we want to use this space to fill our readers in on what we have been up to behind the scenes at Epona's Pastures. This may include things like courses and lessons that we attend, some behind the scenes events that occur during a rescue, in placing a horse, and our reflections on these occurences.

WHATS NEW ?

Inger and Asher attended one of Andrew Bowe's Trimming Workshops. You can now find the story  under the "Andrew Bowe Clinic" page on the left side menu.

Epona's Pastures has joined 'Youtube" and we have posted a short clip on horses at the abbotoirs using some fist hand, behind the scenes photos from a recent visit. The clip can now be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/user/EponasPastures
Please feel free to rate the clip or post your comments, but go easy on us, this is after all our first attempt :)
We are aiming to use more video in the way we document our stories. This will allow the viewers to get a better feeling of what really went on and a more 'real' coverage of each event. In addition to our regular updates on the website, we hope that viewers will soon be able to follow regular video footage of our rescues and other stories on Youtube.

BEHIND THE SCENES OF ONE OF OUR RESCUES
In most cases, our readers get to follow the stories of the horses that come in to our care as we post their photos on the website with updates on their progress. Our days consist of much more than this, and the majority of the work we do is placing horses that are never actually taken in to our care.
With limited funds and paddocks space we are unable to open our doors to every horse, but we do offer a placement service and we are regularly contacted by people who, for various reasons, find themselves in unfortunate situations and can no longer care for their horses.
Much of our time and energy is therefore spent placing these horses behind the scenes. One such case has now been documented our readers can find out more by viewing Chapter one of our Easter Rescue which is found on the left side menu.

Coming Soon
"Chapter Two" of the Easter Rescue with updates on each horse's progress.
